Dead hedging and stag beetle loggeries in Highgate

We’ll be continuing with our ‘dead hedging’ project. This is to reclaim ground for nature that was lost to trampling and an overzealous council edge trimming exercise. We’re already seeing areas of ground making recovery and the privacy gained in the undergrowth seems to be going down extremely well with nesting birds. Meeting place is Stanhope Road. We will be taking advantage of the material that has been cut down in advance of the construction of the new bridge at Stanhope Road.
